SQUEEZE scientist medical virologist Mariet Feltkamp received the ESCV-NED bioMérieux Award 2024 during the Annual Meeting of the European Society for Clinical Virology, in Frankfurt, Germany. She was honored with this award for her leadership in the area of viral diagnosis of DNA viruses, especially of Polyomavirus and Anellovirus.
In addition to the award, she was invited to deliver a lecture on her research into polyomaviruses and torque teno viruses which she conducts at both the Leiden University Medical Center, department of Medical Microbiology, and at Sanquin Research.
