We’re happy to report about yet another successful SQUEEZE meeting!! Meet the WP8 team, who’s drafting an Initial Care Model to Enhancing Medication hashtag#Adherence in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA).
Building on the foundation of the SQUEEZE WP8 contextual analysis, our recent on-site meeting in Basel was a practical and impactful session focused on the Medication Adherence Promotion System (MAPS), a model that has successfully improved outcomes in pediatric transplantation.
Starting with “the end in mind,” we worked towards drafting an initial SQUEEZE care model based on the MAPS intervention. The discussions centred on whether MAPS is acceptable, appropriate and feasible for the adult RA population, specifically across two Swiss clinical settings.
Key takeaways from the meeting included:
🔹 Adapting the MAPS intervention for RA is acceptable and appropriate
🔹 Identifying necessary changes to optimize its feasibility in clinical practice
🔹 Exploring the optimal components and delivery mode together with stakeholders
It was an enriching experience collaborating with patients, clinicians and other experts to share insights and strategies aimed at improving patient care and medication adherence. Looking forward to seeing these discussions translate into meaningful impact!
